KM Ordering Procedures

Dear Keewaytinook Mobile First Nation Partner,

To order and then activate your Pre-Paid Cards, please take the following steps:

Community technician responsible for the local cell service completes the online KM Pre-Paid Card Order Form located at http://mobile.knet.ca and submits to mariecarson@knet.ca to order a block of prepaid cards.
KNET will ship the cards requested to your community. Shipping preferences to be determined by First Nation.
All the cards come in blocks of $1000 for $10, $20 and $50 cards. The blocks MUST be kept together to be activated as a complete block.
When cards are received by First Nation and are ready to be used, fax or email the Pre-Paid Voucher Activation Request Form. This form will be emailed to Community Technician when order is shipped.
Once the cards are activated, THEY ARE CASH so they must be securely handled. DMTS/KM are not responsible for lost or damaged cards once they have been activated.
- Activation requests received by 3pm Monday to Friday will be processed the same business day. Activation requests after 3pm will be processed the next business day.
  **activations are not preformed on weekends.
Once cards are activated, they are ready to be sold to community members.
KO - KNET will invoice the community with each shipment. First Nations will be billed 40% of the card value plus shipping costs. New orders will only be processed if the First Nation’s account is cleared.

How-to Series: Add Data

1. Purchase Phone/SIM/Minutes

Purchase Minutes

We recommend starting with an $80.00 balance in order to cover initial monthly fees, unlimited text and 1GB of Data.

Purchase a Phone

K-Net Mobile has a range of smartphones that will suit your needs and budget.

Reset Network Settings

Go to; Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Confirm by pressing Reset Network Settings.

2. Sign-up K-Net MyAccount

Add Data

1. Once you have added your K-Net Mobile phone click on the “Services” tab.

2. Select either “Add 512MB Home Data ($10)” or “Add 1GB Home Data ($20)” and click the “Add Data” button.

3. A confirmation pop up of purchase and will update your phone balance. Click on the “OK” button.

Once the confirmation pop up is closed the page will refresh to the main mobile webpage. You will see the Data update on your K-Net Mobile Phone account.

Add a K-Net Mobile Phone

1. Once you are in K-Net MyAccount click on the mobile icon.

2. You will see the add K-Net Mobile phone field and enter your 10 digit phone number and enter your personal PIN in the PIN field.

3. Click the “Add” button to complete.

If you are using an Apple device. (iPhone, iPad or iPod) Please click on the downward arrow on top of the keyboard to go to the PIN field.

Sign-up

1. Sign up at https://myaccount.knet.ca Click on “Sign Up” button and fill out all the fields.

Please use your name for the username, not your phone number and make sure your email and other information is correct before clicking the “Sign Up” button.

Transfer Funds to you Phone

1. Once you are in K-Net MyAccount click on the mobile icon.

2. Click the Phone Number you wish to transfer funds and click on the Balance Tab.

3. In the Amount field enter the amount you would like to transfer and click on the “Transfer” button.

Please only use whole dollar amounts and don’t include the decimal point in the amount field. It will cause an error.

4. A Transfer Operation Successful pop up window will appear. Click on the “OK” button.

You will see the funds are now added to your K-Net Mobile Phone Balance.

3. Setup Data on your phone

Android OS

Go to; Settings > More > Mobile networks > Access Point Names > Tap; Right dropdown New APN Set name and APN to data.km

Go to; Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Cellular Network Tap; APN Set Name to data.km (leave username and password blank)
